One of the first things that we must address is your General Ledger, if you decide to maintain clean books.  Most of the discrepancies and red flags are found when we do our initial examination of your Trial Balance. 

We make every effort to research your General Ledger accounts to make sure that your accounts are being used properly and are reconciled on a regular basis.  As Your Bookkeeper is managing your books, it is imperative that they are continually monitoring your Ledger Accounts.  It is a key function of our role to maintain accurate ledger accounts.  There must be a explanation behind every number that appears on your general ledger.  Also, we take measures to ensure you are naming and coding your accounts properly. 

We find it to be more efficient if you use accounts that have proper names and codes, which will prevent mistakes and leaves less room for errors.
